Mega888: how the agent-run slot app works in Malaysia
Mega888 is a slot app you can't sign up to directly. An agent gives you the ID, takes your top-up and pays your cuci. Here's how that works and where it goes wrong.
You can't just download Mega888 and sign up. The app opens straight to a login box, and the ID and password for it come from an agent. In Malaysia that is nearly always someone reached over a messaging app, and that one detail shapes everything else about using it.
Mega888 has been around since about 2018, according to the old version of this page. It is a lobby of slot machines, a few table-style games and some odd arcade titles, all built for phones. On a PC, people usually run the Android version in an emulator. Several of the screenshots on this site were taken that way.
How you actually get in
The agent creates a game ID (often a string of letters and numbers, sometimes your phone number) plus a password, and sends them to you. Some agents hand out a free "test ID" first so you can look around. That is fine for checking that the app runs, but the balance on it isn't real money.

Topping up and cuci
Top-up means sending money (bank transfer or an e-wallet like Touch 'n Go) to an account the agent names. After you send the receipt, the agent loads the same amount as credit onto your game ID. Cuci, the cash-out, works the other way round. You ask the agent, they take the credit off your ID, and then they transfer RM back to you.
Every step depends on one person keeping their word. Mega888 itself doesn't take your money or pay you. Nothing stops an agent from saying your cuci is "processing" for three days, changing their minimum withdrawal, or going quiet. Agents often also push "bonus credit" or deposit bonuses with turnover rules attached. Those rules are usually what stops a cuci later.
Mostly 5x3 slots with jackpot counters
Most of the lobby is 5x3 video slots with jackpot counters on top. A few examples we have written up:

Checks I'd do before the first top-up
Ask the agent for the minimum and maximum cuci, how long a payout takes, and whether any bonus you accept locks your withdrawal. Get the answers in writing in the chat. Top up a small amount first, then try a small cuci before putting in more. Never share your online-banking login or OTP. A real top-up only needs you to send a transfer, not give anyone access. Keep screenshots of every receipt and every balance.
