Why the 88-credit spin exists

The "Symbols per Play" page lays it out. At 8 credits only the gold coin is in its gold form. 18 credits adds the ingots, 38 the turtle, 68 the ship and 88 the dragon. Everything else shows up in its plain colour.

The gap is big. Five jade dragons pay 60, five gold dragons pay 2,000. The red ship pays 60 for five, the gold ship 600. So at the 8-credit level the top of the paytable is basically locked, and I'd keep that in mind before assuming the cheap spin is the same game.

The Fu coin is the substitute, reels 2, 3 and 4 only. The golden jar scatter pays 5, 10 or 50 and three or more from the left give 10 free games. During those, the low card symbols disappear and your credit level carries over, and free games can retrigger.
